mickey mouse birthday party

my goal is to eventually get most of my parties (or recent ones) posted on here.  it's been a very slow progress. haha.  for my son, luke's, first birthday i did a mickey mouse theme.  it was a lot of fun to plan..and there were a lot of options to work with (it is mickey mouse afterall..haha).
welcome to mickey's clubhouse! (as you entered i had mickey tunes playing personalized with luke's name)
i baked these mickey mouse cookies with mickey sprinkles on a stick...for the favor bags.
mickey topiaries :)
this was the sign in table...which also held the favor bags.  the kids got one upon arrival, with mickey ears, bubbles, and a blow out mickey party toy.  the other bags they left with had an art set, coloring book, watch, and the cookie. :)  i love doing treat bags!
upon arrival the kids also got a mickey name badge to wear..
red for girls, blue for boys...
and a few of us even wore minnie hair clips ;)  ella sneaking a lick of course. haha.
this was my first time creating chocolate, white choc, and peanut butter dipped variety prezels...they were a hit and have been at every gathering i have had since! :)
the entry
the back patio...that's the birthday boy swinging away with his uncle ;)
bounce house

the cakes and even a cherry pie...melissa, my sister, always makes my cakes and always does a fabulous job!! :)  thank you melissa!!
random decorations..banner...
centerpiece and balloons
the best family pic we got that day..haha :)
presents!!  i loved this airwalker mickey balloon i bought.  the kids loved it too!!  it was bigger than the majority of them!!
pull string pinata full of goodies..candy and toys
cake time!  he demolished the cake!!
thoroughly enjoying himself!
opening presents
he loved playing in the balls!
the sign in just about complete.
it really was a fun day!  all the party planning was a success!  and i couldn't have done everything without the help of melissa...so thanks again melissa! :)

Looks like a beautifully planned party! I am taking notes. I loved the idea of the sign in sheet with the pictures of Luke. Did you frame that in his room? I will definitely remember that. Love those dipped pretzels too. I want one.

(carlie) ahhaha...i did leave that out! and thank you :) i will make you a whole batch of pretzels next time you are down. ;)

(genn)..thank you..and yes, i actually bought a frame that already had a matte like this..so it was super easy. i have one from ella's too (they are hanging in their play room). for ella's second party i decorated a couple of scrapbook pages that the guests could sign..then i slipped them into the scrapbook for the year :)

What a fabulous party! I'm planning a retirement Mickey Party for my sister. She loves Mickey and always has. Where did you get the Mickey heads on a stick? My party will be for 200 and not as great as yours I'm sure but you gave me some great ideas. Thanks,Palma

Hi sandra..were you asking about the personalized banner or the one inside the house? If I remember correctly I think it was celebrate express.

Sloanfab5-sorry I never saw your comments til just now! Thank you for the compliments and website suggestion!! I got his shirt at chasing-fireflies.com. And for the pretzels I melt ghiradelli choc chips (the best!) and just spoon on the chocolate and add sprinkles! Super easy and always a hit! And for the mickey cookies I ordered a mickey cookie pan off ebay and stuck the sticks in while baking..and the sprinkles too (I ordered those off ebay too). Hope that helps :)

I love all of your ideas! I am planning a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party for my daughter's 1st birthday! Where did you get the personalized music? She LOVE, LOVE, LOVES the clubhouse music plus most of the music on Disney channel and I have been wanting to incorporate that as a part of her birthday!
