3rd annual summer picnic

sarah and i hosted our 3rd annual summer picnic a few weekends back.

a time to get together with friends, enjoy good food and conversation, relax into the summer night and take it all in before summer is over! and boy has summer just flown by this year! we did it potluck style so we had a great variety of food and dessert!

 i was so excited when i found these watermelon plates and napkins!

 sarah made the cute bowl stand.

and i made a variety of different vases out of mason jars and cans to accent the party.

i made this little garland out of fabric, burlap and ribbon.

my baby shower :)

i have been so excited for my baby shower!  it was worth every bit of the anticipation!  my two friends, janelle and debran, and my sister, melissa started planning it a while back.  it seemed like it was so far away then, and i can't believe it has already come and gone!  actually that is how this whole pregnancy has felt!  i can't believe i am about to have another baby any day now!  anyway..i thought i'd share a few pics from the shower..the cute details and all the love they put into it.  i am forever grateful and feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.  thank you janelle, debran and melissa for such a perfect shower...and to my friend sarah for taking all of the pics (i didn't pick up a camera once!)..and to all of my family and friends who shared this special day with me!! xoxo

sarah (itsybitsyphotography.com) also did my maternity pictures and framed some of the ones from the shoot.  love them.

the banner in the background was also several pictures of me throughout my pregnancy put together as a game.  you had to put them in the right order.  i thought this was so original!
