big 4-0!

my husband turned the big 4-0! he refused to have a big ol party, but, I managed to talk him into a family bbq. I tried to include his favorites in the details, wanted to cook instead of cater, and even made the cake. nothing was perfect, but, a lot of love went into it.;) it was definitely a fun day celebrating him. xo

ready, set, RACE!!

Cole has been all about race cars and hot wheels, etc. So, I thought how fun would it be to make a little makeshift race track for him and his friends? And that's exactly what we did! Turned the tennis court into Cole's Speedway! The kids had so much fun taking turns racing in small groups or just cruising around. He had a great time! Here's a look around...

the kids wanted different color hair to represent their "car" color. loved it!

I set up a little pancake bar as well as his breakfast favorites.
